County of Los Angeles is recruiting Emergency Psychiatric Social Worker I to address homelessness-related mental health and substance use concerns. Applicants must hold a Master of Social Work and obtain an Associate Clinical Social Worker registration in California, with licensure pursued within six years.

Qualifications

• MSW from an accredited school of social work.
• Active Associate Clinical Social Worker registration with California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
• Must become registered as an Associate Clinical Social Worker within 60 days and obtain licensure within 6 years.

Responsibilities

• Interviews individuals and families to obtain social, medical, and mental health history.
• Assesses client functioning in their environment.
• Develops treatment plans and CCCPs including counseling, case management or referrals.
• Provides psychotherapy to individuals, groups, and families.
• Provides case management to secure resources for treatment goals.
• Participates in emergency mental health teams and crisis interventions.
• Engages in multi-disciplinary conferences to evaluate progress and plan care.
