Job summary

Generac is seeking a field service technician in Bend, Oregon to perform mechanical and electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting and repair of emergency power supply systems (EPSS). You will read manuals, schematics, and work orders to maintain and repair generators, including after-hours calls as needed.

The role requires a High School Diploma, a valid driver license, and 4 years of EPSS servicing experience; associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Valid Driver License required.
  • 4 years servicing and troubleshooting of Emergency Power Supply Systems (EPSS) desired.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical, electrical troubleshooting and repair of generators.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs during and after hours, weekends, and holidays as directed.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and/or repairs of generators.
  • Read/interpret manuals, schematics, and work orders for maintenance/repairs.
  • Report faults and unusual situations to the service manager in a timely manner.
  • Stay current on NFPA and state regulations for EPSS.
  • Create reports for all work performed in FieldServio.
  • Communicate findings by phone, email, and in person.
  • Conduct equipment commissioning for industrial and MPS products.
