Job summary

The Veterans Health Administration invites qualified physicians to join the Emergency Department at STVHCS as full-time ED clinicians. You will provide emergent and urgent care for a broad patient population, document in CPRS, and coordinate with hospital teams to ensure safe patient disposition.

Required MD/DO with full US medical license, completed or eligible emergency medicine residency, and English proficiency. EDRP benefits, competitive salary, and federal employee advantages are offered.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an institution accredited by LCME or osteopathic accrediting bodies.
• Full and unrestricted medical license in US jurisdiction.
• Successful completion of an approved residency in Emergency Medicine or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergent and urgent medical care in the ED for patients of all ages.
• Document patient encounters in CPRS and ensure timely note completion.
• Coordinate with consulting and admitting providers and ensure proper disposition.
• Order necessary diagnostic studies and interpret results when applicable.
• Adhere to VA policies, privacy regulations, and ED SOPs.
