Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a physician in Emergency Medicine to join the Emergency Medicine Section. This full-time role features a Monday–Friday schedule and opportunity to contribute to VHA Total Rewards.

Strong candidates will hold an MD or DO, be licensed in the United States, and have residency training with board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine; familiarity with EDRP and loan repayment programs is a plus.

Qualifications

  • US citizenship required; non-citizens may be considered per VA policy.
  • MD or DO from an approved school.
  • Current full and unrestricted medical license in the US.
  • Residency training in an approved core specialty leading to board eligibility.
  • Board certification for faculty status may be required for some academic appointments.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain professional, clinical, and administrative competence in Emergency Medicine.
  • Adhere to credentialing and privileging requirements.
  • Provide timely, high-quality patient care and documentation.
  • Work schedule: M-F, 8:00 am–4:30 pm.
  • Participate in Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) and related loan-repayment options.
