Responsibilities

• The staff physician (Emergency Department - ED) maintains professional, technical and administrative knowledge to provide effective care for acute or emergent health problems.
• Keeps high clinical standards and maintains BCLS and ACLS certifications.
• Complies with credentialing, privileging, monitoring, and evaluation criteria.
• Delivers diagnosis, care and treatment in the Emergency Department and supervises residents and medical students as applicable.
• Contributes to teaching, quality improvement, and policy development within the section.
