St. David's Georgetown Hospital is seeking a Paramedic to support the Emergency Department, collaborating with the attending physician and healthcare team to assess and care for patients.

The role involves data collection, care planning, patient education, and coordination of EMS communications. A licensed Paramedic or EMT with BLS/ACLS credentials is preferred; responsibilities include maintaining equipment and assisting with life-support procedures.

Qualifications

• Paramedic or EMT training completed.
• EMT-P license and BLS/ACLS certifications preferred.

Responsabilités

• Collect data and formulate a plan of care for each patient.
• Facilitate the flow of patients through the emergency care system.
• Involve and educate the patient and/or family in the patient’s care.
• Receive patient report from emergency medical services on radio.
• Stock, check, and clean equipment as appropriate.
• May administer IV fluids and respiratory treatments.
• Perform CPR and ACLS as necessary.
• Assist with various procedures and setup as required.

Formation

Completion of required coursework/graduation from an accredited school for Paramedic or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training

Graduate of an Associate’s Degree program in Paramedic or EMT – preferred
