Job summary

Health First is seeking a Paramedic (EMT-P) to provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of nursing and medical staff. The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and high-quality patient interactions in a fast-paced environment.

The Paramedic will perform EKGs, manage IV therapy, support procedures, and assist in moving patients as needed, while upholding the Health First Value Promise of Ease and Excellence.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Paramedic (EMT-P) program.
• Paramedic licensure in the State of Florida.
• AHA BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications maintained.
• Proficient in basic computer skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Performs twelve-lead EKGs and initiates cardiac monitoring.
• Initiates oxygen therapy and administers medications as directed by RN/physician.
• Inserts IV/IO lines and manages IV fluids.
• Transports patients to appropriate units as needed.
• Assists with procedures and maintains PPE and isolation protocols.
• Maintains cleanliness of patient rooms and work areas.
• Administers ACLS medications when licensed practitioner is present.
• Performs defibrillation and cardioversion when required.
