Qualifications

• Technical School completion of an accredited Paramedic program is required.
• Associate Degree in Emergency Medical Services or related field is preferred.
• 0-2 years of EMT-P experience is required.
• Experience in hospital-based emergency department or critical care transport is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical care and technical procedures within scope: vital signs, IV insertion, wound care, splinting, cardiac monitoring.
• Assists physicians and nurses with emergency procedures including resuscitation and trauma care.
• Reports changes in patient condition and supports appropriate clinical responses.
• Administers medications safely under protocols and documents with the five rights.
• Documents care and observations in EMR promptly.
• Collaborates with nursing to prioritize care and support throughput.
• Prepares patients for procedures and imaging, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Maintains stocks and equipment, reports malfunctions or shortages.
• Demonstrates critical thinking in emergent situations and advanced life support as needed.
• Communicates clearly with patients and families to reduce anxiety.
