Job summary

AC Disaster Consulting in Colorado is seeking a Planning Section Chief for an on-site, mission-critical assignment at the Emergency Operations Center, with 12-hour shifts and temporary status. You will lead planning documents, coordinate weather and mapping data, and drive the Incident Action Plan in coordination with SERT leadership.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Emergency Management or related field, 2+ years in emergency management planning, and experience with ICS, WebEOC, and MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management or applicable field.
• 2+ years experience in emergency management planning and project management.
• Experience with Incident Command Framework at state or federal levels.
• Experience in an Emergency Operations Center or disaster response, including activations or exercises.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel.
• Required training IS-100, IS-200, IS-300, IS-400, IS-700, IS-800, E/G/L-0191, E/L-0958, O-0305.

Responsibilities

• Supervise collection and collate planning documents and develop the Incident Action Plan.
• Coordinate weather and mapping data to support planning.
• Facilitate briefings and meetings with clients and internal staff.
• Develop and disseminate Situation Reports and action plans.
• Maintain event chronology and WebEOC battle rhythm.
