Job summary

AC Disaster Consulting seeks a Finance & Administration Section Chief at the Emergency Operations Center. The role oversees the EOC Finance desk, including Purchasing, Fiscal, Travel, and Budget Units, and ensures budget integrity for disaster response and recovery missions.

The position requires strong communication, confidentiality, multi-tasking, and deep familiarity with state and local governments. 12-hour shifts, on-site deployment, and travel to client sites are expected.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the EOC Finance desk, supervising Purchasing, Fiscal, Travel, and Budget Units.
• Develop staffing patterns to support SERT activities.
• Track event costs with state finance offices and compile daily cost estimates.
• Report mission costs to the SERT Chief and SCO, ensuring budget integrity.
• Purchase necessary items for SERT and secure food vendor contracts for SEOC meals.
• Monitor and document personnel overtime and coordinate with the SERT Chief.
