Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant certification.
• Current DEA license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• 2 years ER experience is preferred.
• Clinical skills validation as per orientation checklist.
• Age-specific emergency care requirements understanding.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care for all ages in ED in a safe, efficient, cost-effective manner.
• Oversee patient flow in care and support areas.
• Perform head-to-toe and psychosocial assessments; reassess as needed.
• Maintain current knowledge of medications and administration.
• Communicate with patients, families, physicians and staff professionally.
• Maintain a clean working environment and assist with safety.
• Maintain licensure and pursue continuing education.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
