Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner to coordinate and deliver patient care in an emergency department setting in Texas. The NP will work under the supervision of the Emergency Room physician, caring for patients of all ages from neonates to geriatrics and ensuring quality, cost effectiveness, and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities include triage and patient flow, head-to-toe and psychosocial assessments, medication knowledge, and collaborating with physicians and staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current NP/PA certification.
• Current DEA license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification.
• 1 year ER experience preferred.
• Validation of clinical skills per orientation checklist.
• Age-specific emergency care knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care to all ages in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.
• Oversees patient flow in patient care and support areas.
• Performs head-to-toe and psychosocial assessments on all patients; performs reassessments as needed.
• Maintains current knowledge of medications and administration.
• Communicates with patients, families, physicians and staff in a courteous professional manner.
• Maintains a clean working environment.
• Maintains current licensure and participates in continuing education.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
