Job summary

Altus Community Healthcare seeks a Nurse Practitioner to coordinate and deliver emergency care across all ages under the supervision of an ER physician. You will ensure safe, efficient patient flow and adherence to state nursing standards while maintaining quality and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, med knowledge maintenance, interdepartmental communication, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current NP/PA certification.
• Current DEA license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification.
• 1 year ER experience preferred.
• Clinical skills validated as outlined in orientation checklist.
• Education appropriate for age-specific emergency center needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care to all ages in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
• Oversee patient flow in care and support areas.
• Perform head-to-toe and psycho-social assessments with reassessments as needed.
• Maintain current knowledge of medications and administration.
• Communicate with patients, families, physicians, and staff professionally.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Maintain licensure and participate in continuing education.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
