Job summary

The role encompasses professional practice, care coordination, teaching, and leadership responsibilities with competency in nursing process, patient/family education, and adherence to UTMB standards. ACLS, PALS/ENPC, and TNCC are expected upon hire or within 6 months.

Qualifications

• RN license in Texas (or compact license)
• 2 years of clinical RN experience
• Current BLS certification; ACLS & PALS/ENPC required by hire or within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents daily patient care.
• Provides patient/family teaching based on identified learning needs and uses Teach-Back.
• Coordinates care activities and ensures safety and continuity of care.
• Adheres to ethics, advocacy, and culturally congruent care; acts as patient advocate and supports a healthy work environment.
• Leads and Educates colleagues; participates in unit meetings and quality improvement activities.
• Demonstrates knowledge of evidence-based practice and uses electronic documentation effectively.
