Job summary

UTMB Health in Clear Lake seeks a Nurse Clinician II (RN) for the ED from 3p to 3a. The role requires current Texas RN licensure, BLS, and ED experience. Certifications ACLS, PALS/ENPC, and TNCC within 6 months are expected upon hire.

Qualifications

• RN license required in Texas.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS and PALS/ENPC certifications required.
• Experienced ED nurses must have TNCC within 6 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document daily patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Provide patient and family education using Teach-Back when appropriate.
• Coordinate care with inter-professional team and ensure safe, quality outcomes.
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and ongoing education.
