Job summary

UTMB Health is seeking a Nurse Clinician II (RN) for the Emergency Department at Clear Lake, night shift from 7p to 7a. Requires at least six months of RN experience and a current Texas RN license with BLS. ACLS and PALS/ENPC are required upon hire for ED nurses, with TNCC possible within 6 months.

The role focuses on applying nursing standards, coordinating care, and supporting the inter-professional team to deliver compassionate, competent patient care in a busy ED setting.

Qualifications

• RN license in Texas is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• ACLS and PALS/ENPC certifications are required upon hire for ED nurses.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document daily patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Provide patient/family teaching and health promotion.
• Coordinate care with inter-professional team and ensure safety.
