Job summary

Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department.

The role involves triage, assessment, treatment and documentation of care for patients in a 29-bed ED with 24/7 imaging support and stroke center designation. The RN must be a Massachusetts-licensed professional, with BSN and BLS; ACLS required during orientation, PALS preferred, and telemetry experience valued.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Massachusetts Registered Nurse Licensure required.
• BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers required.
• Must obtain ACLS prior to end of orientation and may not practice independently without ACLS.
• PALS preferred.
• ED experience is strongly preferred.
• 2 years’ telemetry experience preferred.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Show evidence of the basic analytic thinking necessary to care for a group of patients.

Responsibilities

• Triage, assess, treat and document care in the ED.
• Provide immediate acute care to patients.
• Plan, implement and evaluate patient care with a focus on the Patient and Family Centered Care Model.
