Job summary

The Forrest City Medical Center, part of Forrest City Hospital Inc, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on the Night shift. Relocation to Forrest City, AR is required. This full-time role includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus with an 18-month commitment.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, assisting physicians, administering medications, and teaching patients and families about conditions and self-care. ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse licensure to work in the State of Arkansas.
• Requires an associate's degree in nursing.
• Prefer Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications

Responsibilities

• Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care.
• Assists physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
• Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of tasks.
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
• Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
