Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a part-time Emergency Department Assistant in Springfield, MO. You will provide basic patient care under nursing supervision, gather patient information, and promptly report condition changes to the nursing team.

The role emphasizes strong communication, time management, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasking healthcare setting. BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: EMT, PCA, Nurse Assistant, or completion of fundamentals of nursing.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff.
