Job summary

CoxHealth in Springfield, Missouri is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to assist Paramedics in delivering rapid, on-scene care and safe patient transport. You will perform CPR, AED and ventilation support, control hemorrhage, and document all care under EMS supervision.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or Equivalent and a Missouri EMT License. Must be able to work outdoors, follow instructions, and address age-specific patient needs.

Responsible for providing basic medical support including CPR, AED, ventilation, controlling hemorrhaging, etc. to stabilize the patient’s condition. The EMT is responsible for documenting all aspects of care provided under their direction by EMS services. Operates the ambulance in various road conditions to safely transport patients to medical facilities.Education: Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience: Preferred: Previous EMT experience Skills: Calmly and efficiently perform and make appropriate decisions rapidly under stress in emergency situations. Must be 18 years of age Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current Missouri EMT License required Missouri Resident: MO Class E license is required.
