CoxHealth South in Springfield, MO, seeks a Paramedic to serve as the primary director of care in both emergency and non-emergency settings, delivering immediate medical care and stabilizing patients for transport.

Responsibilities include documenting care, performing CPR/AED, ventilation, and hemorrhage control, and operating ambulances under various road conditions. Requires MO EMT licensure and Class E CDL or higher.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.
• EMT experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age and able to work under stress in emergency situations.
• CPR, AED, ventilation, hemorrhage control and basic medical support are required.

Responsibilities

• Directs care in emergency and non-emergency situations, providing efficient and immediate medical care.
• Provides basic medical support including CPR, AED, ventilation and hemorrhage control.
• Documents all aspects of care provided under EMS direction.
• Operates the ambulance in various road conditions to transport patients safely.

Responsible for examining, evaluating and providing quick diagnoses in order to administer immediate and proper medical care. Responsible for providing basic medical support including CPR, AED, ventilation, controlling hemorrhaging, etc. The Paramedic also performs more invasive techniques to stabilize the patient’s condition. The Paramedic is responsible for documenting all aspects of care provided under their direction by EMS services.
