Job summary

NLR is seeking aDispatcher to operate the Central Monitoring Station as part of the Emergency Management team. You will serve as the primary on-site contact during emergencies across multiple campuses, monitor alarms, dispatch responders, and maintain detailed logs.

Ideal candidates bring strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft 365 and ability to learn specialized CMS software. This role requires US citizenship and a background check.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required at time of application
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Multitasking, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress situations
• Ability to obtain and maintain a federal PIV card and pass background check
• Pre-employment drug test required

Responsibilities

• Operate NLR's Central Monitoring Station during emergencies as part of the Emergency Management team
• Serve as primary on-site contact during emergencies for multiple campuses and leased facilities
• Monitor fire and life safety alarms and determine appropriate response levels
• Contact 911 when necessary and dispatch internal responders
• Monitor security and surveillance systems and maintain dispatch logs
• Provide CMS training for LP personnel and contribute to after-action reviews
