Job summary

ESR Healthcare is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for locum tenens support at a high-volume urban facility in New York.

The role requires board certification, active NY license, and current BLS/ACLS/ATLS and DEA credentials. Expect 6–12 shifts per month across various day/evening/night blocks, with Level 3 trauma coverage.

You will collaborate with trauma service and ancillary teams in an EPIC environment.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Emergency Medicine is required.
• Active New York State medical license is required.
• BLS, ACLS, ATLS and DEA certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care to patients in a high-volume ED.
• Support Trauma Service with acute care and general surgery consults as needed.

JOB DETAILS

This facility is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity:

• Volume: 65 Bed, 35,000 Annual. Level 3 trauma
• Shift times: 6-12 shifts per month. 7a-4p, 10a-9p, 12p-9p, 3p-1a, 4p-2a
• Backup specialties available: Trauma Service covering acute care and general surgery consultations.
• Physician and ancillary support: Yes
• EMR: EPIC
• Certifications required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
• Must be Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and have an active New York state medical license.
