Requirements include MD/DO with board certification or eligibility in EM/FP/IM, Ohio license, DEA and BLS, and completion of pre-service training. The role emphasizes prevention, treatment, and coordination within a secure facility.

Qualifications

• MD or DO board certified or eligible in Emergency Medicine, Family Practice or Internal Medicine.
• Valid license to practice medicine in Ohio; DEA and BLS certifications current.
• Must complete required pre-service training.

Responsabilités

• Provide medical services for detainees and staff, in compliance with standards.
• Perform histories, exams, order tests, prescribe meds, and treat patients.
• Rounding, after-hours and on-call coverage as required.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA; participate in meetings and accreditation efforts.
