Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) seeks a credentialed physician to deliver comprehensive medical services at The Bluebonnet Detention Center in Anson, Texas. You will provide high-quality care to detainees and staff in a correctional setting, with a focus on timely assessment and treatment.

You will perform histories, exams, and treatments, manage medical emergencies, coordinate with specialists, and ensure compliance with DEA, HIPAA, and facility policies while upholding patient safety

Qualifications

• MD or DO Board Certified or Board eligible.
• Current Texas medical license and active medical practice.
• DEA Certification and BLS certification must be current.
• Must successfully complete required pre-service training and driver’s license in Texas with acceptable record.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical services related to diagnosis and treatment of detainee patients and emergencies.
• Perform complete medical histories and physical examinations; order tests and treatments.
• Render medical judgments in accordance with standards of care and directives.
• Maintain confidentiality and secure patient records; ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Attend required staff meetings and contribute to accreditation readiness.
