Job summary

St. David's Georgetown Hospital in Georgetown, near Austin, TX, seeks an experienced emergency physician leader to blend clinical practice with administrative responsibilities.

The role offers W2 employment, a base rate plus RVU model, and an additional monthly administrative stipend with a lucrative sign-on bonus. You will partner with the facility medical director to optimize ED operations, drive quality initiatives, and enhance patient experience while mentoring fellow physicians and APCs.

Qualifications

• ABEM board certified
• Minimum of two years of post-residency EM experience preferred
• Active clinical practice within the last 12 months
• ACLS, PALS, and ATLS (expired certifications accepted)

• Assistant facility medical director role with dedicated administrative responsibilities
• Partner closely with the facility medical director to support departmental operations, physician engagement, quality initiatives, patient experience, and overall emergency department performance

About the Facility

• Level IV Trauma Center
• 18-bed emergency department with approximately 22,000 annual visits
• Physicians see approximately 1.7 patients per hour with an 11% admission rate
• Supported by 26 hours of daily physician coverage and 20 hours of APC coverage
• EMR: MediTech
• Robust specialty backup including anesthesiology, cardiology, ENT, gynecology, hematology/oncology, internal medicine, interventional radiology, and more
