Job summary

TeamHealth seeks an experienced emergency medicine physician to serve as assistant facility medical director at North Austin and facility medical director of the affiliated Pflugerville freestanding ED. Lead across two high-acuity sites just north of downtown Austin with a robust leadership framework.

You will mentor clinicians, partner on operations, quality, and patient experience, and participate in performance initiatives with monthly stipends and quarterly incentives.

Qualifications

• ABEM/ABOEM board certification is required.
• Minimum 2+ years of emergency medicine experience post-residency.
• Leadership experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as AFMD at North Austin and FMD of Pflugerville FSED.
• Partner with North Austin's facility medical director on ED operations and performance.
• Lead physician/APC engagement, quality, and patient experience across both sites.
• Mentor and develop the clinical team.

St. David's North Austin Medical Center is seeking an experienced emergency medicine physician to serve as assistant facility medical director at North Austin and facility medical director of the affiliated St. David's Pflugerville freestanding ED. Practice in a busy, high-acuity environment while helping lead across two sites, all just minutes from the domain and 15 minutes north of downtown Austin.

What We're Looking For

• ABEM/ABOEM board certified
• 2+ years post-residency EM experience preferred
• Leadership experience preferred but not required
• Active clinical practice within the last 12 months
• Eligible for Texas medical licensure
• ACLS, PALS, and ATLS (expired accepted)
