Job summary

St. David's Medical Center in Austin, TX seeks a full-time emergency medicine physician to join a premier ED adjacent to UT Austin.

The hospital is launching an EM residency program in Summer 2027, offering mentorship for residents and an opportunity to shape a new program. The department is a 35-bed ED within a 435-bed tertiary center with high-acuity patients and strong cardiology, stroke, and surgical support.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in ABEM/ABOEM.
• Eligible for Texas medical licensure.
• Active clinical practice within the last 12 months.
• ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications (expired accepted).

Job description

St. David's Medical Center is seeking a full-time emergency medicine physician to join one of Austin's premier emergency departments located next to The University of Texas at Austin. Summer 2027 marks the launch of the hospital's new EM residency program offering physicians the opportunity to help shape a program from the ground up. St. David's Medical Center also expanded its emergency care footprint with the opening of an affiliated emergency department in Manor, Texas in December 2025, creating additional opportunities within the system.
