Job summary

TeamHealth is seeking an experienced emergency medicine physician to serve as assistant facility medical director at North Austin and facility medical director of the affiliated Pflugerville freestanding ED. Lead high-acuity ED operations across two sites near Austin, TX, while mentoring clinicians in a dynamic community hospital setting.

Qualifications

• ABEM/ABOEM board certified.
• 2+ years post-residency EM experience preferred.
• Active clinical practice within the last 12 months.
• Eligible for Texas medical licensure.
• ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications required or accepted if expired.

Responsibilities

• Serve as AFMD at North Austin and FMD of Pflugerville FSED.
• Partner with North Austin’s facility medical director on ED operations and performance.
• Lead physician/APC engagement, quality, and patient experience at Pflugerville.
• Mentor and develop the clinical team.
• Oversee monthly AFMD and FMD stipends with additional quarterly leadership incentives.

Lead where the medicine is dynamic and life outside the emergency department is hard to beat. St. David’s North Austin Medical Center is seeking an experienced emergency medicine physician to serve as assistant facility medical director at North Austin and facility medical director of the affiliated St. David’s Pflugerville freestanding ED. Practice in a busy, high-acuity environment while helping lead across two sites, all just minutes from the domain and 15 minutes north of downtown Austin.

• 51 hours daily physician + 38 hours APC coverage
