Job summary

Veterans Health Administration in Minneapolis seeks a Full-Time Emergency Room Physician to join the MVAMC. The physician will perform ED screenings, initiate treatment, and ensure continuity of care for Veterans.

The role includes 24/7 shift coverage, teaching responsibilities, and participation in quality improvement. Applicants must hold an MD or DO from an LCME-accredited school, or COCA-equivalent with ECFMG eligibility.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from LCME-accredited medical school.
• COCA-accredited osteopathic schools eligible.
• ECFMG eligibility required for some foreign graduates.

Responsibilities

• Perform ED medical screening exams and ensure continuity of care with hand-offs.
• Initiate timely treatment and coordinate care across ED and hospital services.
• Provide tele-emergency care and 24/7 coverage as needed; participate in education and research.
