Job summary

AMN Healthcare seeks an Emergency Medicine Physician for immediate placement in Newport, TN. The candidate will cover ED shifts with flexible 12-hour day/night blocks and collaborate with NP/PA coverage and on-site specialists.

Cerner EMR is used, ACLS required, and board certification or eligibility in ABEM/ABFM/ABIM is expected. Malpractice insurance is typically arranged, and AMN provides travel, lodging, and transportation support, along with highly competitive compensation and a dedicated

Emergency Medicine Physician

StartDate: ASAP Pay Rate: $266.75 - $288.75

• Annual Volume: Approximately 32 patients per physician per shift; overall ED census ~65
• Physician shift times: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• NP/PA Coverage: Yes; APC shifts are 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM daily, and 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM Sunday & Monday
• Back up specialties available: Cardiology, General Surgery, GI, Nephrology, Neurology, OB/GYN, Pulmonology; on-site pulmonologist covers ICU (6 beds, open)
• EMR: Cerner
• Certifications required: ACLS required; Board Certified or Board Eligible in ABEM, ABFM, or ABIM
