Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician to join a high-volume ED in Portage, Wisconsin. Start date ASAP with 12 shifts per month, including day and night coverage as needed. Expect collaboration with NP/PA coverage and back-up support across multiple specialties.

Required ACLS, ATLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association) and proficiency with Epic EMR. Competitive pay and travel/lodging coordination are provided.

Qualifications

• ACLS, ATLS and BLS certifications required (American Heart Association).
• Ability to cover day and night shifts; 12 shifts per schedule; high volume environment.
• Experience with Epic EMR system.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medicine physician coverage for ED patients.
• Coordinate with NP/PA coverage (9a-9p, 11a-p).
• Participate in back-up coverage across specialties as needed.

• Annual volume: 14,000 annuals
• Physician shift times: 14-16 shifts per month; Day and Night Shifts for July, Ongoing
• NP/PA Coverage: Physician Assistants (9a-9p, 11a-p)
• Back up specialties available: Anesthesia, General Surgery, Laboratory, Operating Room Response Time, Orthopedic Surgery, Radiology
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Epic
• Certifications required: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Basic Life Support (BLS) must be American Heart Association
