Job summary

FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital seeks an Emergency Medicine Pharmacist for a full-time evening shift (1:00pm–11:30pm, 7 on-7 off). This bedside clinical role emphasizes direct patient care with minimal order verification, collaborating with EM physicians and nurses in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

You will participate in code responses, manage high-risk medications, lead process-improvement projects, oversee technicians, and mentor PGY1 and PGY2 residents while caring for both adult

Responsibilities

• Respond to code blues and other emergencies throughout the hospital
• Actively participate in medication preparation and management of high-risk patients, including STEMI, acute ischemic stroke, hemorrhagic stroke, rapid sequence intubation, and procedural sedation
• Provide comprehensive clinical services such as pharmacokinetic dosing of antimicrobials and anticoagulants, culture follow-up on discharged patients, and other targeted interventions
• Lead and contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing emergency medicine pharmacy services
• Oversee medication reconciliation technicians and perform final review of home medication lists
• Precept and mentor PGY1 and PGY2 Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Residents
• Provide care for both adult and pediatric patients
