Job summary

MedStar Health seeks a Night ED/ICU Pharmacist responsible for safe, accurate, and timely review, preparation, and dispensing of medications for adult and pediatric emergency and critical care patients during overnights. The role is based in the ED with a 7 on/7 off schedule.

The pharmacist maintains primary ED/ICU coverage and provides cross-coverage to other night-shift pharmacists, ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and patient safety standards while supporting the healthcare

Qualifications

• 1-2 years clinical hospital pharmacy experience required.
• Licensed pharmacist in Maryland is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy is required.

Responsibilities

• Advise clinical staff to ensure safe and accurate medication administration.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards and regulations.
• Oversee dispensing activities and ensure proper labeling and storage.
• Monitor for adverse drug events and report as needed.
• Support investigational medications and participate in quality initiatives.
