Job summary

FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital seeks an Emergency Medicine Pharmacist to be a visible member of a fast-paced ED team, improving the medication use process and patient safety for adults and pediatrics.

Responsibilities include responding to code blues, managing high‑risk patients, dosing antimicrobials/anticoagulants, and mentoring PGY1/PGY2 residents, with supervision of techs who handle med lists.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of NC.
• PGY1 Pharmacy Practice residency or equivalent hospital experience required.
• PGY2 residency training in emergency medicine/critical care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to code blues throughout the hospital.
• Participate in medication preparation and management for high‑risk patients.
• Dose antimicrobials and anticoagulants; culture callbacks on discharged patients.
• Oversee medication reconciliation technicians and review home med lists; precept residents.
