Emergency Department Medical Director - Montefiore Medical Center

The Emergency Department at Montefiore Medical Center is one of the top five busiest in the United States and the most-visited in New York State, with approximately 275,000 visits annually from patients aged 21 and over from Westchester, Manhattan, Connecticut, and the Bronx. Our Board-Certified physicians are dedicated to providing exceptional emergency services to our community.

Our department handles a broad spectrum of ailments, from cold symptoms to heart attacks. We are a leader in cardiac care, offering emergent cardiac catheterization 24/7, along with services for arrhythmia, congestive heart failure, and cardiac transplants. Additionally, we are recognized for stroke services, with a specialized team available 24/7 for thrombolysis and other interventions.

In collaboration with Albert Einstein's Clinical Research Training Program, the ED has produced four NIH-funded Clinical Investigators in Emergency Medicine and published over 100 peer-reviewed articles, primarily on acute pain management.

We are seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine physician to serve as Medical Director at our Moses campus in the Bronx, NY. The ideal candidate will be operationally focused with experience leading a team, including a support staff of 21 PAs, 11 NPs, and over 87 RNs, LPNs, and PCTs.

We offer a competitive salary range of $395,000 to $430,000, along with bonuses, productivity incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package including paid malpractice insurance, 403(b), LTD, STD, health, dental, and vision insurance. An academic appointment at Albert Einstein College of Medicine is also available.
