Job Description

The US Medical Affairs HQ Medical Director will provide strategic medical and scientific leadership for the Prostate Cancer Radioligand Therapy team in the US, supporting both marketed and development-stage compounds. This role involves collaboration with global and US teams, strategic planning, and budget management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as a Medical Expert within US Medical Affairs, building partnerships across management, medical, and commercial teams.
  2. Collaborate with Medical Strategy Teams and Product Strategy Teams to drive product strategies.
  3. Contribute to clinical trial strategies, publication plans, and product launches.
  4. Support programs with Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) teams.
  5. Educate internal teams and healthcare professionals about assigned compounds.
  6. Implement innovative communication strategies, including digital channels, to address scientific gaps.
  7. Develop medical engagement plans involving diverse medical functions.
  8. Build relationships with national, regional, and local medical experts and investigators.
  9. Organize and support advisory boards and insight-gathering initiatives with field medical teams.
  10. Foster relationships with global colleagues.

Essential Requirements:

  1. At least 3 years of experience in Medical Affairs within the US biotech/pharmaceutical industry or academia.
  2. Strong knowledge of Prostate Cancer and experience interacting with US academic centers.
  3. Clinical research experience, including protocol development, is preferred.
  4. Understanding of clinical trial operations and patient recruitment strategies is preferred.
  5. Proven ability to build trusting relationships with medical experts and investigators.
  6. Established relationships with US medical experts and professional societies are preferred.
  7. Experience leading external meetings and advisory boards.
  8. Ability to manage cross-functional projects and collaborate effectively.
  9. Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

Education:

  • MD, DO, or PhD in Health Sciences or related field with significant US clinical experience in Prostate Cancer/Genitourinary Medical Oncology.

The salary range at start is estimated between $236,000 and $439,400 annually, subject to market and individual factors. Compensation may include bonuses, stock units, and benefits such as medical, retirement, and paid time off. Details will be provided upon offer.
