Job summary

Wellstar Kennestone Hospital is seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Emergency Medicine for the ED team. The role focuses on comprehensive pharmaceutical care, formulary management, and policy development within a busy emergency department.

You will educate ED staff and participate in multidisciplinary hospital committees. The position requires 3+ years of clinical pharmacy experience or PGY1 with EM/critical care focus, Georgia licensure eligibility, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Epic and Microsoft Office preferred.
• Requires Georgia Pharmacist license or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and monitor drug regimens for appropriateness.
• Participate in emergencies within the ED.
• Provide drug information to patients and staff.
• Assist with discharge prescriptions and medication reconciliation.
• Document clinical interventions and participate in formulary maintenance.
