Overview
Emergency Medical Vehicle Operator (EMVO) — PART-TIME opportunity. Pay Rate: $10.00 per hour. We are hiring drivers to respond to emergency and/or non-emergency transportation requests, delivering high-quality care, treatment, and customer service to patients.
Responsibilities
- Drivers will respond to operation and dispatch requests and use the necessary tools, maps, and addresses to efficiently transport customers to and from facilities in a timely manner.
- Clearly document trip information and details and adhere to company policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
- Take pride in maintaining a safe and clean vehicle environment for patients, complete the regular mechanical checklist at the start of shifts, and report any vehicle issues to the Fleet Manager as needed.
- Use appropriate communication methods including standard radio transmission codes to effectively respond and route patients and comply with the company\'s information security standards.
- Operate transportation equipment including stretcher, hydraulic lift, wheelchair, and be able to use protective personal equipment and manage disposal of supplies as necessary.
- Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with allied health and public safety personnel as well as fellow drivers and the operations team.
Minimum Qualifications
- State Driver's License
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- CPR card
- Driving record in compliance with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
