Job summary

AMR in Mississippi is hiring Ambulance Operators to respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for transportation, delivering high-quality care and customer service to patients while maintaining privacy and safety.

As a driver, you will complete vehicle checks, operate transport equipment, document trip details, and work with healthcare and public safety teams to ensure timely patient movement.

Qualifications

  • State Driver’s License is required.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • CPR card preferred.
  • Clean driving record in accordance with company policy.
  • Must pass Physical Agility Test.
  • Some healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for transportation needs.
  • Document trip information and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Maintain a safe and clean vehicle environment; complete pre-shift checks.
  • Use radio and communications to coordinate routes and respond to dispatch.
  • Operate transport equipment including stretcher and hydraulic lift; manage PPE as needed.
  • Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel and operations team.

IMMEDIATELY HIRING! AMBULANCE OPERATORFULL-TIME Opportunity

We’rehiring Ambulance Operators that will respond to emergency and/or non-emergency requests for transportation needs and deliver high-quality care,treatmentand customer service to patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Drivers will respond to operation and dispatch requests and use the necessary tools,mapsand addresses to efficiently transport customers to and from facilitiesin a timely manner.
  • Clearly document trip information details and adhere to company policies and procedures whilemaintainingconfidentiality and patient rights.
  • Take pride inmaintaininga safe and clean vehicle environment for patients, complete the regular mechanical checklist at the start ofshiftsand report any vehicle issues to the Fleet Manager as needed.
  • Useappropriate communicationmethods including standard radio transmission codes to effectively respond and route patients andcomply withthe company’s information security standards.
  • Drivers willoperatetransportation equipment includingstretcher, hydrauliclift,wheelchairas well as be able to use protective personal equipment and manage disposal ofsuppliesas necessary.
  • Work collaboratively and in a professional manner withall alliedhealth and public safety personnel as well as your fellow drivers and operations team.
MinimumRequired Qualifications:
  • State Driver’s License

  • Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
