Job summary

AMR is seeking Ambulance Operators to respond to emergency and non-emergency requests, delivering high-quality care and customer service during transport to facilities. You will drive, document trips, maintain vehicle readiness, and communicate effectively with crews and dispatchers.

Minimum requirements include a state driver’s license and a high school diploma or GED; CPR is preferred. Prior healthcare exposure and a valid driving record support eligibility.

Qualifications

  • State Driver’s License.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • CPR card (Preferred).
  • Driving record in compliance with company policy.
  • Pass Physical Agility Test.
  • Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to operation and dispatch requests and use necessary tools, maps and addresses to transport customers to and from facilities in a timely manner.
  • Clearly document trip information details and adhere to company policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
  • Maintain a safe and clean vehicle environment for patients, complete the mechanical checklist at the start of shifts and report vehicle issues.
  • Use standard radio transmission codes to respond and route patients and comply with information security standards.
  • Operate transportation equipment including stretcher, hydraulic lift, wheelchair and manage disposal of supplies as necessary.
  • Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow drivers and operations team.

IMMEDIATELY HIRING! AMBULANCE OPERATOR FULL-TIME Opportunity

We’re hiring Ambulance Operators that will respond to emergency and/or non-emergency requests for transportation needs and deliver high-quality care, treatment and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Drivers will respond to operation and dispatch requests and use the necessary tools,maps and addresses to efficiently transport customers to and from facilities in a timely manner.
  • Clearly document trip information details and adhere to company policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
  • Take pride in maintaining a safe and clean vehicle environment for patients, complete the regular mechanical checklist at the start of shifts and report any vehicle issues to the Fleet Manager as needed.
  • Use appropriate communication methods including standard radio transmission codes to effectively respond and route patients and comply with the company’s information security standards.
  • Drivers will operate transportation equipment including stretcher, hydraulic lift,wheelchair as well as be able to use protective personal equipment and manage disposal of supplies as necessary.
  • Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow drivers and operations team.
