Job summary

Mobile Medical Response in Delta - Escanaba, MI is seeking an EMT-Basic to transport and care for medically ill and traumatically injured patients in emergency and non-emergency situations, following MDCH guidelines.

The role requires MI EMT-Basic licensure, a valid MI driver license, AHA Healthcare Provider certification, and certifications in trauma (PHTLS) and pediatrics (PEPP/PALS) within 6 months. Excellent communication and composure under stress are essential.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed in the State of Michigan as an EMT-Basic.
• Possess and maintain a valid Michigan driver license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
• Possess and maintain a current Healthcare Provider certification from American Heart Association.
• Obtain a trauma certification (PHTLS) within 6 months of employment.
• Obtain a pediatrics certification (PEPP or PALS) within 6 months of employment.
• Possess FEMA NIMS IC-100.b, IC-200.b, 700 & 800.b.
• Ability to perform well under the stress of emergent and often adverse conditions.
• 2 years of driving experience preferred.
• Ability to express oneself in English, verbally and written.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Know and support the Mission Statement, Policy/Procedures and standards of MMR.
• Conduct examination of the patient for signs of injury/illness and assist other medical personnel.
• Provide prompt and efficient care and stabilize patient before, during and to destination.
• Prepare all supplies and equipment to place the unit back in service.
• Drive and operate emergency vehicles to locations in a safe, controlled manner.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment in good working condition.
• Report observation and care of the patient to receiving facility staff for records.
