Job summary

Mobile Medical Response is seeking an EMT-Basic in Traverse City, MI to transport and care for medically ill and traumatically injured patients in emergency and non-emergency settings. The role follows MDCH guidelines and requires current Michigan EMT-Basic licensure.

Qualifications

Currently licensed as an EMT-Basic in Michigan.
Possess and maintain a valid Michigan driver license with acceptable driving record.
Maintain Healthcare Provider certification from American Heart Association.
Obtain trauma certification (PHTLS) within 6 months.
Obtain pediatrics certification (PEPP or PALS) within 6 months.
Possess FEMA NIMS IC-100.b, 200.b, 700 & 800.b.

Responsibilities

Support the Mission Statement, Policy/Procedures and standards of MMR.
Examine patients for signs of injury or illness and assist other medical personnel.
Provide prompt care and stabilize patients before, during, and after transport.
Prepare supplies and equipment to return the unit to service.
Drive and operate emergency vehicles to locations safely and legally.
Maintain vehicles in good working condition and stocked.
Communicate with other emergency services and medical controls as needed.
Record and report patient observations for medical records.
