About the Role:

Our team at Wisewire is seeking a certified and experienced emergency medical technician (EMT) professional to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the development of educational content for workforce training programs. The SME will be responsible for conducting a full program analysis of existing secondary EMT program content, writing clear and accurate instructional content, and ensuring alignment with industry standards and certifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Program Analysis to identify gaps in existing secondary EMT curriculum, including identifying the critical skills and competencies required for professionals in your field.
  • Ensure alignment with board certification exams, learning objectives, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with instructional designers to create effective learning experiences for students and professionals.
  • Provide feedback and revisions on developed content to ensure accuracy and clarity.
  • Write clear, engaging, and accurate content that aligns with certification requirements and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid certification from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).
  • Arizona certification or knowledge of Arizona certification standards is a plus.
  • Actively working in the field for at least 3 years.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly.
  • Previous experience in curriculum development, training, or educational content creation is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.

Schedule:

  • Program Analysis: 5 hours over 2-3 weeks (now through end of April)
  • Blueprinting and Content Development: 15-20 hours over 4-5 weeks (May, June)
  • Work is expected to start immediately.
