Job Description

This position is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus for eligible employees.

General Overview

Provides emergency medical care to sick and injured patients in prehospital and hospital environments; communicates effectively with all involved parties in emergency medical care.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Drives emergency vehicle. (20%)
2. Determines nature and extent of illness or injury; provides basic life support and transports critically ill and injured patients. (50%)
3. Completes required documentation according to regulatory standards. (15%)
4. Maintains equipment and supplies, including BLS and ALS, and is accountable for medications on EMS units per standards. (15%)
5. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

Minimum

• High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 months related experience/training, or equivalent.
• PA EMT certification.
• EMSVO within 30 days of hire.
• Valid Driver's License.
• CPR – American Heart Association.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance.

Preferred

• Six months’ experience in prehospital care.
• ITLS/PHTLS, ABLS, ASLS certifications.
