Job summary

ANN'S CHOICE, INC. at Cedar Crest Village by Erickson Senior Living is seeking EMT/EMR personnel for full-time and Per Diem/Part Time roles at our gated senior living community in Pompton Plains, NJ.

Duties include patrols, gatehouse relief, responding to emergencies, enforcing traffic rules, and detailed incident reporting. Qualifications include 18+, valid driver's license, CPR for HCP, EMR certification (within 30 days if needed), and prior security/EMS experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Current EMR certification; higher level certification/licensure acceptable, but EMR required within 30 days of hire.
• Prior experience in Security and/or Emergency Medical Services preferred.
• Proactive, vigilant and detail-oriented with strong commitment to quality, efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular patrols of the property and provide relief staffing for the gatehouse.
• Respond to emergency and routine calls for service and enforce traffic and parking regulations.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide care using basic interventions.
• Follow up on reports of missing items, theft, vandalism, or other potential criminal activity.
• Coordinate with local police, fire, and EMS during emergencies.
• Complete thorough incident reports using the online report system.

Location: Cedar Crest Village by Erickson Senior Living

Join our Security & Emergency Services team as an EMT or EMR at our gated senior living community! Put your emergency medical skills to work in a rewarding environment where you’ll provide compassionate support, promote resident safety and well-being, and build meaningful connections with the people you serve—all without the demands of ambulance transport. Current Full Time schedules are 7:00am - 7:00pm OR 7:00pm-7:00am Per Diem/Part Time roles available as well! Valid Drivers License is required

How you will make an impact

• Perform regular patrols of the property, provide relief staffing for the gatehouse, and respond to emergency and routine calls for service
• Enforce all traffic and parking regulations
• Respond to calls for service from dispatch and security
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide efficient care utilizing all basic interventions
• Follow up on reports of missing items, theft, vandalism, and other potential criminal activity
• Utilize local police, fire, and EMS; effectively during emergencies
• Complete thorough and detailed incident reports using our online report system

What you will need

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Prior experience in Security and/or Emergency Medical Services is preferred
• Proactive, vigilant and detail-oriented approaches with a strong commitment to quality, efficiency and effectiveness
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification
• Current Emergency Medical Responder certification. (Higher level certification/licensure is acceptable as a condition of hire, however, new hires will be required to obtain EMR certification within 30 days).

Compensation: $19.75-$24.00/hour
