Position: Full-Time Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Location: Maryville, TN

Schedule: Friday/Saturday/Sunday, 6:00p - 6:00a

Qualifications: Advanced EMT certification preferred.

Essential Functions

1. Assess illness or injury to determine necessary procedures and assistance.
2. Restore and stabilize heart rhythm in pulseless, nonbreathing patients.
3. Monitor cardiac patients.
4. Provide initial treatment at emergency scenes, record vital signs.
5. Report patient conditions and incidents to physicians.
6. Assist in extrication and transport of patients.
7. Communicate with medical personnel via radio and in person.
8. Stay updated on treatment techniques and protocols.
9. Maintain records and reports.
10. Operate and maintain emergency vehicle and supplies.
11. Conduct safety inspections and restock supplies.

Job Requirements

• Completion of an accredited EMT program with passing grades.
• Current health care provider BLS certification (ARC or AHA).
• At least three years' EMT experience in emergency settings.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Effective communication and clarity in documentation.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Proficiency with medical records and internet-based software.
