Job summary

Summit Bechtel Reserve seeks EMT-certified staff to assist with health care needs for campers and staff. The role includes responding to emergencies, providing mental health first aid when needed, and supporting opening/closing procedures at the Summit Health Lodge.

Responsibilities include on-call rotations, promoting Scout Oath and Law, maintaining a safe work area, and following SBR staff guidelines. Housing and uniform provided, with HazMat and MCI training valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum age: 18+
• EMT Certification required
• NREMT Certification required
• Able to obtain WV State EMT Certification (Provided)
• HazMat training
• Bloodborne Pathogens training
• Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) training
• Mental Health First Aid Certification (preferred)
• Valid driver's license
• Able to obtain Summit UTV and vehicle permit
• Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily communication
• Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (background screening)

Position Overview

Ensure guests receive high quality healthcare while staying at the Summit Bechtel Reserve.

Physical & Practical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and hike up to 8 hours daily and ability to lift/move up to 100 pounds
• Stamina to repeatedly lift, bend, and kneel
• Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelines
• Housing: 10'x12' platform tent in Staff Camp | Uniform: Summit Staff Uniform | Work Hours: 45-55
