Job summary

Mission Health in Asheville, NC is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician to deliver high-quality pre-hospital and interfacility life support, including assessment, triage, and treatment per established standards.

The role requires NC paramedic licensure, BCLS, a valid NC driver's license, FEMA certifications, and regular team participation to ensure safe patient transport and care.

Qualifications

• Maintains current licensure and certification as a Paramedic in NC.
• Maintains BCLS certification.
• Must have a valid NC driver's license and be 21+ years old.
• Maintains FEMA 100, 200, 700, & 800 certifications.
• Attends at least 80% of monthly team meetings.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality pre-hospital and interfacility advanced life support.
• Perform assessment, triage, and treatment following standards set by authorities.
• Participate in safe transport and teamwork to ensure patient safety.

What qualifications you will need

• Maintains current licensure and certification as a Paramedic in N.C. Office of Emergency Medical Services
• Maintain BCLS certification
• Must have a valid NC driver’s license, must be 21 years old to meet Mission Health insurance guidelines
• Maintain FEMA 100, 200, 700, & 800
• Must attend 80% of monthly scheduled team meetings

Preferences

• College education (or equivalent); Associated degree preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years full time experience at the EMT level at a demanding 911 or interfacility transport service.
