Job summary

Mission Health seeks a Critical Care Paramedic Transport to ensure high-quality, efficient care for all patients. You will perform advanced life support in pre-hospital and interfacility settings, following established standards, while prioritizing safety throughout the transport continuum.

The role requires licensure as a Paramedic in NC, NREMT, and ongoing certifications (BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, ITLS/PHTLS) with preferred CCEMT-P/CCP-C/FP-C.

Qualifications

• Paramedic certification and active licensure in NC.
• Minimum 2 years of full-time critical care experience in 911 or interfacility transport.
• Maintain BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP and ITLS/PHTLS certifications.
• National Registry Paramedic status is required.
• CCEMT-P, CCP-C or FP-C are preferred.
• Valid NC driver’s license; must be 21+ years old.
• FEMA 100, 200, 700, and 800 certifications.
• Attend at least 80% of monthly team meetings.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality pre-hospital and interfacility ALS including assessment, triage and treatment.
• Carry out the mission of HCA Healthcare North Carolina MAMA and ensure safety throughout transport.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Responsible for providing high quality pre-hospital and interfacility advanced life support including assessment, triage, and treatment utilizing standards and guidelines established by HCA Healthcare North Carolina MAMA Medical Director(s). The Critical Care Paramedic will be responsible for carrying out the mission of HCA Healthcare North Carolina MAMA and goals of assuring that safety remains the highest priority throughout the transport continuum.

Requirements And Preferences

• Paramedic Certificate from an accredited college or Associates of Science in EMS
• Minimum 2 years full time critical care experience at the Critical Care Paramedic level at a demanding 911 or interfacility transport service.
• Maintains current licensure and certification as a Paramedic in N.C. Office of Emergency Medical Services and will obtain S.C. prior to orientation completion
• National Registry Paramedic
• Maintain BCLS, ACLS, PALS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program, and advance provider ITLS or PHTLS
• Maintain CCEMT-P, CCP-C or FP-C preferred
• Must have a valid Class C NC driver’s license, must be 21 years old to meet Mission Health insurance guidelines
• Maintain FEMA 100, 200, 700, & 800
• Must attend 80% of monthly scheduled team meetings

Preferences:

• College education (or equivalent); bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years full time critical care experience at the Critical Care Paramedic level at a demanding 911 or interfacility transport service.
